PARANGINATI
We are the reason you cannot sleep at night and the silent stalkers that strike without warning. Taking your village by surprise stealing what we want and disappearing into the shadows. We stalk the edges of civilization looking for an opportunity to strike. When we do, know that we will be gone before we can be stopped.
Homeland
Our homeland is the vast plains of Parangan, and in the center of Parangan lies our home city of Epigan. In the presence of the God-King we have guidance and the strength to push back the ever-encroaching straglegrass that floods the plains of Parangan like an ocean of foliage. With the Gods strength we push back the starnglegrass and keep it at bay with his aura. This is when we are at our strongest and grow the quickest. When the king is gone we roam the world in search of the next God-King.
Why we fight
We fight to survive and hone our skills. Those who are not moving forward are falling back. When the God-King is here we feed off of his strength and prosper as a people for a hundred years. When the God-King is gone we split apart unable to sustain a solid community without his guidance. We scavenge Revin like packrats looking for the next child to take on the role. This leads to many conflicts with the other races, and with our numbers we must be smart. Taking casualties is not an luxury we can afford.
Allies
Many find us to be untrustworthy but we have found sound allies in the Kreth. During our time of need they provide the much needed muscle to help us survive as a broken tribe. They are all too eager to join a fight against many for the simple payment of guaranteed combat. They can be difficult to handle if life becomes stale, but we do not begrudge them as this is who they are.
Enemies
Those Pramith are nothing but fools. Thinking the power of their silly machines is paramount to the power of the God-King. Their quest is foolhardy and they deserved to be banished. They deserve extinction and that is all. They have thrown their life-sworn duty to preserve the existence of the King for a life of trinkets and gadgetry. We will take their toys and sell them to the highest bidder or the lowest. It makes no difference. Their attack on the God-King deserves only a slow and agonizing death.
Culture
Our days are spent in search for the next God-King. We raid, we pillage, and we take what we want until he is found. This creates some poor relations with the neighboring races, but that will all be dissolved when the new king is found. He will rectify our previous doings and bring our tribes to glory for another 100 years. When we are not raiding we are farming and building our networks. In order to survive it is crucial to always have the upper hand in a fight. With our long time friends the "Lairate" we dig thousands of miles of tunnels over the years. This gives us the ability to move unseen and they love doing it. They are so loyal and so devoted to us it is sometimes hard to believe. When the worst comes around they even fight to protect us from harm. They are truly magnificent animals.
Anatomy
A dark skinned race of humans that have adapted to living in the open sun. The plains offer little protection form the elements and they have adapted accordingly. Most of the Paranginati stand between 5-6” tall and have mocha or chocolate colored skin. They wear light clothing made from animal skins, stolen garments reconstituted into new garments, and headbands. They are fond of clothes that keeps sun from their eyes and prefer to wield blowguns, Stranglewhips, and fistblades for hunting and whittling down the opposition. When in close they use the signature Togal Spear which can extend and retract at will.
