The Resin is Here!
It has taken me a long time to establish all of the partners I need to achieve my ambitions but I finally feel I am there. I recently received the first wave of resin miniatures from the companies I had commissioned. My goal was to find the best possible company with the highest quality, quickest turn around, and the most affordable price. I have found 2 companies as it stands and with this discovery I will be more than ready to start the launch of my Kickstarter campaign. With that I give you my sample pictures!
If you take a look at the above image you will see the rediculous detail I have achieved with my miniatures. The casts are so fine that even the runes on the tassels are visible. And in case you were wondering how small they actually are, they are smaller than 1mm across each!
I am amazed at the level of detail we were able to achieve as every feature is so sharp. My experience with some of the molding and casting processes have resulted in loss of detail. In some cases some features were destroyed and even had to be remodeled. The horns here came out great and didn't break which I was told previously I would have to change to make work. The geometry of the gem on top of the staff is immaculate and the mane looks fantastic! I am very excited to get one of these guys painted so we can display what they will look like on the table.
This particular model was sculpted by Tim Barry and the concept was done by Chris Rallis. Both of these extremely talented individuals have been in their fields for years and pump out nothing but the best of what they do. I encourage you to check out the "Team" page at the link up top and check out their portfiolios.
