ZAEDULAN

We are of the mountain and are a part of its being.  The ground is our ally and we borrow its power to keep our foes at bay and protect our race.  With our powerful glyphting we put an end to our adversaries and bring life to metal.

Homeland

The Whiteye mountain range is our home and we have been here for hundreds of years.  Many have tried to drive us from this place and failed.  They all wish to own the bay which is rich wish fish, and the only body of water capable of sailing upon.  We protect the bay and the mountains with our life, because we owe our life to them more than our neighbor know.

Why we fight

We fight because others bring us to this end.  We love our work and live everyday to better ourselves and feed our people.  Because we have something others want they bring the fight to us.  While this is not what we want we must do what we can to protect what keeps us alive.  In times it is favorable to attack our foes head on to prevent further loss, but this is rare.

Allies

We have few enemies.  They all want to keep trade routes with us regardless the price.  Fish is far too valuable to risk losing over a petty war.  The Eindal are good people, looking for fair trades and prosperity.  The Pramith make good trade for our metal and offer food in return.  The paranginati bother us little, and offer us much.  The Kreth protect our borders and ask nothing of us.  We are their brothers.

Enemies

It is hard to understand why such creatures exist, but the demons of Firat and the alien fiends of the desert are not to be trusted.  They are strange and speak little, which leads us to believe they are up to no good.  Those two are in league and planning something big.  We must stop them at all cost or suffer when they decide we are the next on their list of foes.

Culture

The Zaedulan are a hard working people who live everyday as happy as machines.  They have no hatred of work, chores, or each other’s.  This may stem from their asexual biology, but none can know for certain.  They are a race of sea faring creatures perfect for their given role as they need no air.  The Zaedulan reproduce by splitting like amoeba at the "Age of Splicing".  They will create a smaller weaker clone of themselves that shares a portion of the life experiences the host had.  This has bread the most flippant, altruistic, and well manners race.  This does not make them weak, as many have faced combat more than most, and they continue to splice into additional combat ready warriors.  They enjoy the labor of life, and perhaps this is from an eternity of stone imprisonment.

Anatomy

The Zaedulan are shorter than many standing roughly 5’8” for many.  The splicing process has regulated their size well and even the small ones will only splice once they are large enough.  Their bodies are grey with slight hues of blue in the flesh.  Their skin is rough like that of sharks and is made of tiny teeth that make them deceptively resistant to damage.  They have flat noses that stretch up their faces and grow into a crown of large stone like scales.  This crown gives them a regal look and can vary in size depending on how old they are or how close to splicing they are.  The Zaedulan are exceptionally adept at scaling the rocks of the mountain and have adapted feet that are skilled at grabbing sharp pointy rocks and digging into the ground for added stability.  All of the Zaedulan are well chiseled and have bodies that would rival the most robust of body builders.  This is due to their devotion to hard work and constant growth due to the abundance of Feyalis in their diets.
